Forza Horizon 5 is the new game of the Forza franchise, developed by Playground Games, in adventure, race, and even exploration style. Travel through beautiful and ever-evolving landscapes of the open world in Mexico with unlimited fun driving action in several different cars.



New air

Scaping a little of the European theme, the Forza Horizon theme it’s in Mexico, with various scenarios involving Mexican fauna and flora promoting an excellent and innovative immersion. The exploration theme mixed with cars works well, with several peripheral missions and several racers, we can run on the map several times in the way we prefer. Playground put this factor together with the size of the American territory, with big forests, deserts, volcanos, little villages, big cities, and other environments. Besides that, it represented very well the local diversity, a positive point for the developer.



Choose your car well

This part leaves any player of this genre and fans of cars happy; the diversity is immense and certainly pleases everyone, with Vipers, Mustangs, old and new BMW, besides other several magnificent machines that leave or garage full and complete, also remembering that it has the option to customize it with well-worked personalization. This way, the fact is even more potentialized by the big variation on the map, in each place in Mexico you’ll need a different vehicle, either on sand, road, mud, and others. Forza Horizon 5 still proposes that we don’t need to play a lot to unlock the fastest cars, on the contrary, since it has different categories, we are always competing, whether by passing radars at high speed or distance passed over a cliff, for example, we’re collecting vehicles between this multiples modality of the game, from the best to the most basics ones.



What an audio

At this point of our review, you are expecting some negatives points, but I guarantee that you won’t find them here, because Forza Horizon 5 provides great audio. The acceleration sound amuses every speed lover, we still have soundtracks that we have the option to choose, by changing the radio with a simple command.

No difficulties

I didn’t play with a keyboard, but, with the control, and all the commands are basically standards, we won’t suffer a lot because of this, and in the beginning, you’ll pass by a tutorial teaching you everything, including a facilitator mechanism of retroceding, which in it we can “go back on time” to repeat some maneuver, pick up a forgotten point, without affecting all the racer progression.



Looks like a movie

Environment and biomes very well reproduced are the factor of player’s immersion on Forza Horizon 5, but not only that, all the graphic part is well detailed and optimized by Playground Games. The graphics are realistic, with pretty art, that will make you feel like you’re inside an action movie, the illumination, shadow, reflexes are very natural, while the rendering of the scenario and objects carries details that make you doubt if it’s a game or reality.

About customizations, it is possible to modify cars, we can also choose our character outfit with game coins, possible to be collected on missions and accumulating points doing simple maneuvers, such as drift and almost hitting (passing close to another vehicle at high speed). Among other options, such as caps, glasses, jackets, and other fashion items for everyone.



Forza Horizon 5 is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Xbox Game Pass for both  platforms.
