La Ubisoft announced that it will offer voluntary dismissals to the employees of its subsidiary Massive Entertainment, based in Malmö, Sweden. The studio, known for the Tom Clancy's The Division series and for working on Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, introduced a "voluntary career transition program" as part of its "ongoing evolution and long-term planning".

The program seeks to "ensure [its] continued focus on The Division franchise and technologies", including the Snowdrop engine and Ubisoft Connect.

The key point is the focus on cost reductions and the reorganization of the workforce of Ubisoft. This move follows the "restructuring proposal" disclosed yesterday (October 22, 2025) for the RedLynx studio in Finland, which may impact up to 60 employees. Ubisoft has been seeking to "reduce costs" and increase "prioritization and efficiency" in its global network of studios.

According to the French media Le Figaro, the transition program at Massive Entertainment will be open until December 15, 2025 and is aimed at "employees on permanent contracts waiting to be reassigned to a new project".

The studio stated that the support package is "comprehensive" and includes financial and career assistance. Those who join the volunteer program will receive "severance pay as well as assistance to finance professional training". Ubisoft did not provide the potential number of affected employees at the Swedish studio.

Massive Entertainment offers a "voluntary career transition program" for employees awaiting reassignment until December 15, 2025. The studio focuses on The Division, Snowdrop, and Ubisoft Connect. The program follows Ubisoft's restructuring proposal at RedLynx (potential 60 cuts) and offers financial and career assistance. Massive Entertainment is based in Malmö and worked on Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
