The PlayStation 2 (officially abbreviated as PS2) is a video game console produced by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released on March 4, 2000 in Japan, on October 26 in North America, and later on on November 24 in Europe and December 3 in Brazil. After a slow first year, the PlayStation 2 has grown to become the best-selling console in the history of electronic games.
