Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 arrives with a new region and version for Xbox

Zenless Zone Zero, the urban ARPG from HoYoverse, will reach version 2.0 on June 6, 2025. In addition to the expected content update, the date marks the official debut of the game on Xbox consoles, significantly expanding its potential audience. The title, previously available only for PC, iOS, Android, and PlayStation, will also reach players of the Xbox Series X|S, with all content and events synchronized between platforms.

Entitled "Where Clouds and Sunset Meet", the update inaugurates a new narrative phase for the game, introducing the new region Peninsula Waifei. According to HoYoverse, this new area will bring "an exciting season of adventures" with new missions, distinct settings, and stories focused on the developments of the New Eridu universe.

"Version 2.0 will be the starting point for a new and exciting season of adventures," declared HoYoverse during the special announcement program held last weekend.

Version 2.0 also adds:

• New playable characters (not yet detailed)
• New commissions
• Special themed events
• Navigation enhancements
• Performance optimizations
• 1-year anniversary celebratory activities
• Special rewards and bonuses for active and new players
   

The celebration of the first anniversary of the game will be accompanied by a series of generous bonuses, including free pulls, premium currency, and limited events. These benefits are expected to help retain recurring players and attract newcomers from the Xbox base.

Originally released in July 2024, Zenless Zone Zero mixes real-time action with a futuristic urban setting, full of visual references to anime and pop culture. It is part of HoYoverse's successful portfolio, alongside titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.

With the new content and the expansion of multiplatform reach, version 2.0 represents the biggest expansion leap since the initial release. Multiplatform support, combined with anniversary events, promises to generate a new peak of engagement — crucial for the continuous service model adopted by the game.
