Xbox confirms a special broadcast at Tokyo Game Show 2026

The live stream will also feature the in-person return of the Xbox FanFest Tokyo, with registrations opened and limited to Japan residents only.

The meetup on Japanese soil is part of a global celebratory tour organized by Xbox, which includes stops in cities such as Cologne, London, Mexico City, Sydney, and Toronto.

While announcements in Tokyo generally focus on collaborations with local studios and Asian projects for the service's catalog, the event happens right after the company’s attendance at gamescom 2026, where playable demos of Gears of War: E-Day, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Minecraft Dungeons II, METRO 2039, and a new playable segment from Fable have been confirmed.

Unlike the previous edition, where Forza Horizon 6 used the local setting to steal the spotlight, the current anticipation is for more modest updates of known projects.
