Work on a New Saints Row Game Is Currently Underway at Volition

It's 'deep in development'.

The Saints Row franchise has gone into hiding ever since the PS4 remaster of its fourth entry came and went more than four years ago, but it looks like a return is on the cards. It has been confirmed that Volition is now "deep in development" of an all-new entry in the franchise.

As announced in THQ Nordic's latest report, "Volition is deep in development of a brand-new Saints Row game, the first full entry in this much loved series since Saints Row IV was released in 2013." It's certainly nice to have confirmation that a proper sequel is on its way, possibly releasing for PS4 just before the next generation hits. Inevitably, there would be a PS5 remaster at that point a year or so down the line.
