Watch the new trailer of Yooka-Replaylee, highlighting Rextro

To celebrate the 10 years of the Playtonic studio, the developers have treated us with the announcement of Yooka-Replaylee, but unlike what you might be thinking, the protagonist of the adventure will not only be the duo Yooka-Laylee, but the adorable Rextro, the 30-year-old dinosaur who commands all arcade arts.

As tradition dictates, Rextro must explore 8 new worlds and overcome all the challenges that will be encountered, in the best 3D platform style, which graphics reminded me of a game called Minecraft. Surely the dinosaur's adventures will be a kind of "break" for the main duo to relax a bit and get angry after making a wrong jump with Rextro.

Yooka-Replaylee is the remastered and definitive enhanced version of the beloved Yooka-Laylee (2017), an indie 3D platform game in a "collectathon" style developed by the main creative talents behind the Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country games.

Still without a concrete date, Yooka-Replaylee will be released for Playstation 5, Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
