Ubisoft wanted to release an Assassin's Creed every 6 months!

We already know that Ubisoft's actions have been falling a lot in recent years, and the company is going through a crisis in many ways. The company even had to delay one of its main games of 2024, this due to the terrible reception of Star Wars: Outlaws, which did not sell as much as the company wanted. Anyway, all of this revolves around the decisions the company makes and it seems like they are not making good decisions.

According to Ubisoft's insider, Tom Henderson, on the podcast Xbox Two + One, Ubisoft has a "strong" lineup of releases in its various series. This includes a new Ghost Recon, Far Cry 7, the recently confirmed Rayman game, and a Far Cry extraction shooter game. It also includes a series of Assassin's Creed games, including the already revealed Assassin's Creed Shadows, Hexe, and Invictus. He also believes that this is the beginning of a plan to release an entry every six months for the next ten years.

“They have Assassin's Creed Shadows, they also have Assassin's Creed Invictus next year, Assassin's Creed Hexe, the remake of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, and plan to make a new Assassin's Creed every six months or more for the next ten years, I believe,” says Henderson.

Like all rumors, it is possible that these claims are not the case. However, Henderson has a fairly solid track record, so it is quite likely that this could be a plan that the company has discussed.

Now we wait to see if this is still a plan, or if they have changed their minds, which is quite possible if we look at the possibility of Tencent buying Ubisoft, or at least part of it.
