Ubisoft developer criticizes Star Wars Outlaws missions!
A few weeks ago the game Star Wars: Outlaws was released and even though the franchise always attracts a lot of attention when releasing something new, the launch of the game by Ubisoft was lukewarm. Not only because of the way fans received the game, but also because of the way the company's shareholders received it, which was with dissatisfaction.
Julian Gerighty, creative director of Massive Entertainment, spoke a little about mission design for GamesRadar and mentioned that stealth missions became difficult due to a bug in the game, which certainly makes the player's experience more frustrating.
"You're probably thinking of one of the first missions in Mirogana, which is incredibly difficult. And for me, that's a bug, and it's something we're going to work on improving. It's hard to say for sure, but I think we can make it much more enjoyable and understandable," he says. “We don't want it to feel unfair,” Gerighty says about the high difficulty of the first stealth missions. "And today, I think it feels unfair. And believe it or not, that wasn't our intention. It's more like something that came up in the last week or so, and we're already fixing it for a patch that will be released maybe in 10 days."
The game not only has bugs in missions, but even before its release, an update patch was released that rendered the save games of those who had started playing the game early on PlayStation 5 useless, which led to many criticisms against Ubisoft, which is fair, since the company's usual practice nowadays is to fix the game only after it has been released, just like many other big companies and this is a bit tiring.
