After several delays, Ubisoft has revealed details of the open beta for Skull and Bones, confirming that it will take place on all platforms from February 8th to 11th. Players will have access to crossplay, and progress made during the beta will be transferred to the full game.

During the beta, players will explore the hub of Red Island and the coasts of Africa and the East Indies, with pirate infamy limited to level 6. Additionally, Ubisoft shared plans for the first year of post-launch content for Skull and Bones, which will include:

Seasonal Content:

  • Players will face Legendary Pirate Lords, such as Philippe La Peste and the Hubac Twins, in progressively challenging encounters.
  • Strategic ship cargoes and seasonal equipment will be crucial in defeating these threats.
  • World events introduced each season will bring new challenges, such as facing merchant convoys, elite warships, and other predators.

Endgame Activities:

  • Players will experience the intense endgame of Skull and Bones, facing more dangerous challenges, higher stakes, and turning alliances into rivalries.
  • Take control of The Helm, a smuggling colossus, by building a smuggling empire and controlling factories throughout the Indian Ocean.
  • Legendary Raids and Hostile Acquisitions introduce new endgame features each season.

PvP:

  • Engage in risky PvP activities with high rewards in Cutthroat Cargo and legendary treasure map challenges.
  • Participate in limited-time events, collaborate with other pirates, complete community-exclusive events, and climb the leaderboard to earn rewards.

With these ambitious plans, Ubisoft hopes to offer a rich and dynamic experience to Skull and Bones players throughout its first year post-launch.
