A very controversial actor in the world of games is Steven Ogg, the man behind the voice of Trevor in the campaign of GTA V, where he plays the role of a psychotic and very dangerous character for the innocent people who cross his path.

Many times fans of the franchise had the feeling that Steven Ogg did not have a certain "love" for the character, and that he might even hate the Grand Theft Auto franchise because of all the controversies involved. However, in a new interview, he seems to have a different opinion than what fans have about him.

In a conversation with fellow actor Michael Rosenbaum in the latest episode of the Inside of You podcast, Ogg addresses whether he cares about what other people think of him, making references to the "things that are said," including the fact that "with GTA, everyone was saying, 'Oh, he hates being called Trevor.'"

In explaining this, Ogg evaluates that he "probably said to someone, 'Well, my name is not Trevor'." He adds, "When people call you by your character's name, it's kind of weird," noting that with Trevor being specifically a "video game cartoon character, there's no way I can be a cartoon."

He continues: "So, I'm sure at some point I thought, 'What are you talking about, damn it?' and then it turned into this thing of, 'He hates Trevor, he hates GTA, don't call him Trevor, he'll freak out'." In fact, Ogg thinks that Trevor is "a great character, he's amazing, and yet, Shawn [Fonteno, actor of Franklin] and Ned [Luke, actor of Michael], we're friends, we were doing a Comic Con last weekend. So those kinds of comments don't bother me, because I'm like, 'You don't know me, damn it.'"

Later in the podcast, Ogg continues to say that simply "no," he will not play GTA 6, but clearly has nothing against the franchise. In fact, at the beginning of the conversation, Rosenbaum mentions that Ogg "didn't play" even when he was "in the biggest game in history" with GTA 5. Ogg agrees that games never really interested him, even though he played some arcade classics like Donkey Kong as a child.

Even though Ogg is not excited to play, GTA 6 is most likely the most anticipated game of the year for many. Although Rockstar Games has not yet given a real release date (or a second trailer, in this case), it is shaping up to have a huge impact on this year's game release calendar.
