The renowned developer Toys for Bob, known for iconic titles like Skylanders, Spyro, and Crash Bandicoot, announced a new partnership with Microsoft for their next game. The studio, which recently split from Activision after the publisher's acquisition of Call of Duty by Microsoft, shared the news with enthusiasm.

"We're excited to announce that we'll be partnering with Xbox to publish our next new game," said the studio. "We're still very early in development, so you might not hear from us for a bit - but know that we're working hard on an experience we're so inspired about! Can't wait to share more."

Founded in 1989, Toys for Bob developed classic games like Star Control, Pandemonium, and The Unholy War before being acquired by Activision in 2005. In recent years, the California studio has contributed to the development of the Call of Duty series, but gained more recognition as the creator of the Skylanders series, as well as Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time (2020) and Spyro Reignited Trilogy (2018).

Their most recent game, Crash Team Rumble, is a multiplayer online "strategic platform game" that received mixed reviews from critics, with the PS5 version scoring 67 on Metacritic.

With the new partnership with Microsoft, fans can expect an innovative and engaging experience, even though the specific details of the project remain a secret. The gaming community is eager to see what the future holds for Toys for Bob under the new alliance with Xbox.
