Time Line of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 revealed, understand the story of the game!
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is coming and many doubts arise with the fact that the game takes place after the events of Black Ops 2, a game that was released before Black Ops 3, 4, and Cold War, which has a campaign that works with the past and present, showing the point of view of Woods and Alex Mason in the past, and the present shows the point of view of Alex's son, David Mason.
The games are all focused on the events of the Cold War, but there are many doubts about what the campaign will address this time. It is worth mentioning that the campaign should address the new characters that were introduced in the trailer.
Here we have the complete timeline for you to understand what is happening. Another interesting detail is that we must remember that the Call of Duty campaigns are all linked, at least the latest ones that were released and their first games. Something quite difficult to explain. I have an article talking about some of the connections that are embedded in the Call of Duty franchise, which now even has a "Marvel" style intro.
Trailer:
- Call of Duty: Black Ops
Set in the early 1960s, Call of Duty: Black Ops introduced Alex Mason, Frank Woods, and Joseph Bowman, who carried out "Operation 40", attempting to assassinate Fidel Castro during the Bay of Pigs invasion. But Mason was captured and imprisoned in Vorkuta, a Russian gulag where he met Viktor Reznov. After escaping, Mason pursued the traitors Dragovich, Kravchenko, and Steiner to Vietnam, interrupting a critical broadcast of the Numbers Program on a Russian ship in the Gulf of Mexico and manages to kill Dragovich, thus ending a serious threat to the United States.
- Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
In Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, we follow a conspiracy that reached the early 1980s, in the midst of the Cold War. Alex Mason, Frank Woods, and Jason Hudson, along with new agents, pursued the Soviet spy Perseus, who sought to destroy the influence of Western powers. To stop him, they infiltrated the KGB headquarters, where they attacked the hideout in Cuba and destroyed the detonation code transmitter to save Europe.
But Perseus managed to avoid capture.
- Call of Duty: Black Ops II
In 1986, Alex Mason decided to come out of retirement to rescue his friend, Frank Woods, captured by Raul Menendez, leader of a cartel in Central Africa. After his release, the CIA authorizes a capture mission in Nicaragua, but Woods accidentally kills Josefina Menendez, provoking Raul Menendez's thirst for revenge, culminating in Mason's death in 1989.
After these events, Woods is left in a wheelchair and Hudson ends up sacrificing himself for him.
Old acquaintances unite with new characters
In Black Ops 6, we will see the return of three important characters: Frank Woods, Russell Adler, and Helen Park, who will join some new faces like Jane Harrow, Troy Marshall, and Felix Neumann for a new adventure in the year 1991, in a period of transition and tension in world politics.
In the context of the Gulf War, a clandestine force infiltrated the highest levels of the CIA, targeting Frank Woods and his team, who will be pursued by the same military machine that created them. With this, a new team of agents will be formed to try to clarify things, but always remembering that one should not trust anyone.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available on October 25, 2024 for Xbox (Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One) and PC, where it will arrive on Game Pass on the day of release. Players can also purchase the title through the Microsoft Store, Battle.net, Steam, and PlayStation (PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4). Pre-order is already available at this link.
And remember: The truth lies.
I am very excited for the game, especially for the campaign, since the one in Modern Warfare 3 was not that good. I also hope that the next Call of Duty developed by Sledgehammer and Raven Software, will be an Advanced Warfare, since Rebirth now has several indications that it is being controlled by FUTURE Atlas, a corporation from the futuristic game, which could very well have started its work in the Russian army Konni, of Makarov! I really wish that Activision would let me daydream...
