Theories on how to cheat the new Pokémon TCG are already emerging!
From the beginning, word of mouth in Pokémon has generated funny theories about how to catch a Pokémon faster, or about having more chances of winning. This is repeated more and more, not only in console games, but also in Pokémon Go.
And then, with Nintendo having released Pokémon TCG Pocket, it's no surprise to see the same types of conspiracy theories spreading once again. Here, as you would expect from a game essentially about paying to open packs of digital cards, prevailing theories are all based on how to get better cards.
I want to show some users and if you want to test it in the app, now is the time, since we are not even sure about it. But it's still worth the time, as I myself am a little obsessed, opening the app in the morning, at night, and in the wee hours of the morning to, if possible, get the little cards!
First, one that seems to have a chance of actually working. User X MetaTradingCo suggested using the screen recording feature of your phone to capture the Wonder Pick shuffling of the game, so you can replay it in slow motion and find out where specific cards fall.
Several theories identified by ComicBook include one that user X hawaiinguy808 describes as a "fairly significant glitch."
"If you do a Wonder Pick and skip the shuffling scene and immediately choose the spot that has the card you want, you will get it 90% of the time", they wrote, posting images of an Articuno EX card as proof.
I am a bit skeptical about tricks in games like Pokémon, but if it works, please leave it in the comments so that I can try it too. But I want proof, not fallacies!
