The servers of Forza Horizon 3 are open again!

Something that has already become natural is the closure of game servers that have been online for some time. Of course, some have been online for over 10 years, so it's understandable when the server is shut down. However, the opposite happened this time with Forza Horizon 3 (my favorite game, by the way).

After some users on Reddit noticed that the game servers were not working and that community features were also unavailable, some fans became a little uncomfortable because the game had already been removed from digital stores and the closure of the servers might be the next step towards the end of the game, just like its successors, which were not only removed from stores but also taken offline.

The point is that now we have the return of the servers, and I am happy about it, since it's a great reason to revisit the game. The announcement of the return of the servers was made through Reddit by a Senior Community Developer at Playground Games.

Unfortunately, not only the first 3 games in the franchise were removed from stores, but we also saw the departure of Forza Horizon 4, which, like the other games, reached its licensing limit and had its last days on sale in various digital stores.

However, with the decision of Playground Games to keep the servers of the third game, the fourth game seems to be safe for a good while, making the last-minute purchase worthwhile for the coming years.

But I didn't want to talk about endings, but about new beginnings. Where is Forza Horizon 6 set in Brazil or Japan, Playground Games colleagues? I have needs!

The decision to restart the servers of Forza Horizon 3 contrasts interestingly with the closure of The Crew by Ubisoft, which, for not including a single-player mode, ended up being sued by some fans. However, Forza Horizon 3 also has its single-player mode, so the server restart serves more to bring happiness to the strong community of the game that continues to thrive!
