The PC version of God of War Ragnarok is being criticized, see!
We talked here previously about the release of God of War: Ragnarok for PC, in its Steam version. Many imagined it would be great to play the game without limitations and others would simply be able to touch the game for the first time in their lives since the release.
Great, part of this is wonderful, but let's remember Helldivers II, another exclusive from Sony that arrived on Steam, was purchased by many people and soon after all these folks get a bucket of cold water, as Sony made it mandatory to use a Playstation Network account, which made the players furious, leading them to review bomb the game on Steam.
Now, apparently, things are repeating themselves with God of War: Ragnarok, with players discovering that it is mandatory to have a Playstation Network account to play the game. It's fine on a console, the console won't be sold where you can't use a Playstation Network account, but on a computer it's a whole different story. The PC audience is in various places and some of these places don't even have Playstation Network, which has left users annoyed since they were only informed that this would happen after buying the game.
Now, users are giving so many negative reviews and criticizing the need for the account in God of War: Ragnarok, to the point that the game has already reached the title of "mixed" rating in reviews on Steam. It may not seem like it, but making this kind of move against a game's reviews can be beneficial. In the case of Helldivers II, the game even had changes that removed the need to use the account, and I think Sony should give up on this, as the PC is not that simple and this affects other countries that are potential buyers of God of War: Ragnarok!
