The Glass Staircase: Classic horror PS2 game arrives on modern consoles in May
The indie developer Puppet Combo announced that their horror game in the style of PS2 classics, The Glass Staircase, will be released for modern consoles. Described as "a chilling tribute to PS2 survival horror and Italian zombie movies," the game challenges players to "uncover the horrifying secrets of the mansion as their friends disappear one by one."
Originally released for PC in 2019, The Glass Staircase features a soundtrack composed by MXXN. Puppet Combo, an independent studio formed by Benedetto “Ben” Cocuzza, is famous for their low-fi horror games inspired by the 80s, including titles like Babysitter Bloodbath, Meat Cleaver Mutilator, Nun Massacre, and Spiders.
The Glass Staircase will be released on May 24, 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation consoles, and Xbox consoles, bringing the nostalgic terror of the 80s and the suspense of PS2 classics to a new generation of players.
