The Finals: Best weapons for beginners in the game
If you followed one of my tips on games to play this holiday season, you definitely went through The Finals and I will say that I love you if you downloaded and moved the game queues, as it needs, a lot and deserves it very much, seeing the effort of Embark Studios to keep it alive and well updated.
However, I imagine that after the Bots phase, you came across several crazy people very advanced in terms of level and skills, so, I want to help you continue playing this wonderful game by bringing some weapon tips to unlock, which will give you an up "in your finals".
Of course, I brought 2 weapons for each weight class, which should leave you in doubt about which one to choose and I suggest that you test each of them in some mode with infinite life, like power shift, since there you will have more possibilities and may even test more than one weapon in the match!
Light: V9S
The starting point for the Light class is the V9S, which is a silenced semi-automatic pistol. In the past, the meta in The Finals consisted of most players combining this with the Cloaking Device and running around invisible while causing a lot of damage. This was weakened a long time ago, but the weapon itself is still a force to be reckoned with, especially if you put a red dot sight on it to help improve accuracy. Lean towards stealth gameplay and you will flourish.
Light: LH1
For some more long-range action, look no further than unlocking the LH1. This is a semi-automatic battle rifle, so you will probably want to play a little slower than you would with the V9S and keep more distance. It is more suitable for modes like Power Shift and Terminal Attack as opposed to Cashout and Bank It, simply because there are more opportunities to stay in the background and flank the edges, shooting from vantage points instead of always being in the middle of the action. Again, make sure to unlock the red dot sight as well for the best version of the weapon.
Medium: FCAR
The medium build has a plethora of weapon options and, while the AKM is a solid choice, especially because it is unlocked by default, the FCAR is the best assault rifle to spend your VRs. Although it has a slower rate of fire and a smaller magazine, it has much more damage and better accuracy, so if you can hit your shots, you will destroy opponents from afar.
Medium: Model 1887
While the Medium class is spoiled for choice with automatic weapons, the Model 1887 shotgun is the next best option. This is the choice if you want to be constantly in action — much like the V9S for the Light build. As it is a shotgun, the range is not great, but it makes up for it with absolute firepower. As long as you trust your movement to get close to enemies, you will be able to take them down in an instant.
Heavy: Lewis Gun
The M60 and the Lewis Gun compete head to head in the Heavy class for the title of best LMG, but my vote goes to the Lewis Gun. While the M60 excels with suppressive fire, the Lewis Gun actually kills enemies much faster, as it has more manageable recoil right off the bat and is a bit more mobile. You can choose any kind of playstyle with this: advance and take down enemies up close, or sit back and pick them off from afar.
Heavy: ShAK-50
The brand new ShAK-50 is my other recommended weapon for the Heavy class because it is essentially an SMG that deals a lot of damage. It fires slowly and has a small magazine, but it is much more mobile than most other weapons offered in this class, which really allows for a more "run and gun" playstyle for the Heavy. The only downside is that it currently costs 2,000 VRs, so it's not cheap!
