The Devil May Cry anime is back. Check out the Teaser for the new Netflix anime!
I miss games like Devil May Cry, the games were amazing and the challenge was just in making combos and spending the whole afternoon playing those levels again and again and again. However, I won't for now, since there is nothing announced within Capcom's calendar, talking about a Devil May Cry 6 or a remake of 3 (God, please give me a Devil May Cry 3 Remake!)
Trailer:
However, while that doesn't happen, let's be content with the productions we have and that we will have in the future. In this case, what I'm talking about is the new Devil May Cry anime, which had its teaser announced tonight by Netflix!
The anime is coming back, and it seems to be a reboot, as the previous one brought a Dante much more serious and discouraging, which put some fans off the anime. However, with this teaser, things may be about to change, my friends!
The trailer features a character, with the Dante layout we had in Devil May Cry 5, making the same jokes and having the same enthusiasm as always. Not being a quiet and boring emo. Even speaking the phrases he says in the middle of the game, having several of his evident characteristics.
The director leading the project is Adi Shankar, who also worked for Netflix in Castlevania, animations that are wonderful and well worth watching!
"I'm honored because Netflix and Capcom have entrusted me with the stewardship of the Devil May Cry franchise," Shankar said. “Alex Larsen [who will be the writer] and I love these characters. We are part of the series' fans and we vow to exceed the exceptionally high expectations we set for ourselves.”
The project will be written by Alex Larsen and produced by Hideaki Itsuno for Capcom and Seung Wook Lee for Studio MIR, which will take care of the animation. This just makes me more excited for a future game in the series, which has been idle for a while, only releasing a terrible mobile game that is not even worth mentioning. Anyway, I'm excited for what may come from this.
As for the release, it is scheduled to come out only next year, in April 2025, but without a confirmed date yet, but let's pray that it comes soon, because I got really excited!
