Tekken 8: Victor Chevalier confirmed as a playable character

Meet the newest addition to the franchise

Bandai Namco has revealed Victor Chevalier as a character for Tekken 8 through a trailer.

Victor Chevalier is the latest character in the franchise, hailing from France. He is a living legend, descended from a lineage of knights.

Living a life dedicated to helping the needy, he went from the French Navy to founding and training the Raven Force.

The character sports a sharp outfit and carries some weapons with him, including a sword that appears to possess advanced technology.

Victor Chevalier is voiced by the French actor Vincent Cassel.
 

“I’ve discovered TEKKEN in the 1990s and I’ve really started picking it up when Eddy Gordo was introduced. He was doing capoeira and back then, so did I, so I was only playing with him”, said Vincent Cassel. “What I like about Victor Chevalier is the fact that it’s a French character in such an internationally known game. In addition to that he is very sophisticated and promotes, through how he is and how he dresses, a certain idea of the French elegance. This, and the fact that I had been called to voice Victor lead me to be interested in the character.”

In addition to Victor Chevalier, a series of other characters are already confirmed for Tekken 8, including Jin Kazama, King, Bryan Fury, Raven, Ling Xiaoyu, Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, Panda, and Devil Jin.

Tekken 8 will be released on January 26, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
