Tarisland: The new MMORPG from Tencent
MMORPG Tarisland, developed by Tencent, stands out for not fitting into the same category as Blizzard's success, World of Warcraft (WoW). Although it shares similarities with WoW in some aspects, Tarisland does not seek direct competition, focusing mainly on the Chinese market, where WoW had its servers shut down the previous year.
With a more advanced cartoonish visual than WoW, Tarisland was designed to attract Chinese players who lost their favorite MMORPG due to Blizzard's termination of the publishing contract with NetEase.
Although there is no confirmed release date yet, players can already pre-register for Tarisland on the official game website. Pre-registration offers in-game bonuses, and the process is simple: interested parties need to access the site, enter their email address to receive a code, confirm the registration, and select their preferred platform (iOS, Android, or PC).
Despite uncertainties about Tarisland's success in the Chinese or Western market, the game benefits from the contribution of Russell Brower, a renowned composer who worked on titles such as WoW, Diablo 3, and Batman, and is now involved in creating the music for this new MMORPG from Tencent.
