Take-Two cancels another fan project...
Liberty City Preservation was one of the most anticipated mods of this year for the Grand Theft Auto V community. Unfortunately, if you were excited to see Liberty City carefully adapted to the GTA V graphics engine, we won't have it anymore since Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games managed to take down the mod.
As reported by Insider Gaming, one of the creators of the project, who goes by the name of nkjellman, announced the news on the mod's Discord server. The message, included below, was also shared by user Yan2295 on X (formerly known as Twitter), an active member of the GTA community who used to share rumors about Rockstar Games projects.
"Due to the unexpected attention our project received and after speaking with Rockstar Games, we have decided to withdraw the Liberty City Preservation project," says the screenshot. "We appreciate all the support the project received and look forward to continuing to pursue our passion for modifying the Grand Theft Auto series."
The mod featured an ambitious scale, not only in recreating Liberty City with a modern touch thanks to the Grand Theft Auto V engine, but also in aspects such as a fully functional subway system.

The mod was downloaded by some users in the past weeks, however, even if you download it now, it will remain unfinished, which is quite sad, considering that when Rockstar remastered their games, it was done by A.I, came out buggy, and with the price of a new game, which is terrible for the game's fan base, who once again came out defeated.
