If you liked Ninja Gaiden and have been waiting for a sequel since the game came to Gamepass a few years ago, you can now scream with happiness.

Today, Koei Tecmo, along with Team Ninja and PlatinumGames Inc., announced Ninja Gaiden 4, alongside a remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2 (which, by the way, is already available on Gamepass right now!).

Trailer:

The Developer_Direct at the beginning of this year was very straightforward about its announcements, starting with the "mysterious game" (which I prayed and asked God to be Forza Horizon 6, but that's part of the industry). The game showcased a new protagonist and stunning graphics!

The protagonist is a new character named Yakumo, a member of the Raven clan, who will fight his way through a dystopian Tokyo. Longtime fans of the games will be happy to see that Ryu Hayabusa is returning and will play a central role.

The new game is being co-developed by Team Ninja and the Japanese action game experts PlatinumGames Inc. (known for Bayonetta and NeiR:Automata). The trailer for Ninja Gaiden 4 showcases all the flashy moves you would expect from a 3D action game, with aerial combat and many powerful moves. Yakumo will also have traversal abilities, such as riding rails, jumping through holes, and running on walls.

The game is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2025 and will be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one. It will also be released on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5.
