Street Fighter 6 reveals C. Viper and free content
The Capcom has released a gameplay trailer for C. Viper in Street Fighter 6, confirming her arrival in the game on October 15, 2025. The character, who returns after 17 years, is the second to be added to the season pass, but players will still have to wait quite a bit for the completion of the content package.
Although the addition of new fighters is always a positive point, the release schedule for the game's third season pass has been slow. C. Viper is the last character scheduled for this year, while Alex and Ingrid, the next fighters of the Season Pass 3, have been scheduled for 2026 only. The decision to distribute the content over such a long period may test the patience of players seeking a more continuous content experience, as Capcom maintains the pace of spaced releases.
The return of C. Viper, a secret agent known for her last appearance in Street Fighter 4, is an important moment for the fan base. The character retains her characteristic moves that use flames, generated by a device in her boots, and now also incorporates new moves that use electricity, suggesting a renewed and expanded set of skills. In addition to an updated look, Capcom has confirmed that it will be possible to unlock the character's classic skin, offering a nostalgic option for veteran players.
Along with the paid character, Capcom is providing new free content for players. A special collaboration, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the "Kamai-tachi no Yoru (Banshee’s Cry)" story, will bring a new episode to the "World Tour" story mode, as well as new items and decorations. This initiative demonstrates Capcom's commitment to providing continuous value to the community. Additionally, a new robotic skin for Zangief will also be available.
Street Fighter 6, which is already available on various platforms — PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (via Steam), and Nintendo Switch 2 — is gearing up for another round of updates.
The C. Viper trailer confirms a promising release with a mix of nostalgia and novelty. The inclusion of a robust free crossover content is a highlight of the update, which aims to keep the community engaged while awaiting the arrival of the other season pass characters only in 2026.
