Stellar Blade 2 will be released by 2027, says Shift Up

With the Stellar Blade development cycle nearing its end, Shift Up is already planning the future of the franchise. The company has officially confirmed that they are working on Stellar Blade 2, with a projected release date before 2027, as presented in their meeting with investors.

The confirmation came through a planning slide covering the period from 2024 to 2027. In this schedule, two points stand out: the well-known "Platform Expansion", which refers to the release of the full edition of Stellar Blade for PC, and the new "Sequel", which clearly indicates the development of a continuation.

The original title was released exclusively for PlayStation 5, but it will receive its first version for PC on June 11, 2025, through Stellar Blade: The Complete Edition. This version includes additional content and will be available for free to those who already own the game on the console. However, regional restrictions applied by Sony limit the distribution of the PC edition in some countries.

In addition to the direct sequel to Stellar Blade, Shift Up has also hinted at a mysterious project called "Project Witches", possibly a new intellectual property. Rumors suggest it is an action game in the style of Stellar Blade, but there is no official confirmation yet.

Although Stellar Blade 2 has not been formally revealed, it is expected to be released in 2026, initially exclusive to PS5, following the series' release pattern. The possibility of delays, however, cannot be ruled out given the early stage of the project.

The success of Stellar Blade, both critically and commercially, made it a natural decision to continue with a new entry in the franchise. The expectation now revolves around when more concrete information will be disclosed by the developer.
