S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 will have its first major patch, focused on fixing bugs!
S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 will have some post-launch updates, and we already have a preview of what will come in its first update, which should target mission blockers and bugs within the game, which has garnered a lot of attention, not only because of the studio that developed it, but also because of the quality the game has, however, there are still some rough edges and GSC Game World wants to change that as soon as possible!
The next patch from GSC Game World aims to solve, with fixes for everything, from crashes to visual problems. Announcing the new update in a post on Steam, the developers reveal that it is scheduled to be released at some point "next week - on both PC and Xbox".
"The game has been available for several days now (it's still surreal to say that), and we have been carefully monitoring your feedback in every possible way," writes the studio. "To the more than a million stalkers in the Zone, thank you for playing - it means the world to us. We are sure you have things to deal with in the Zone, but so do we." The developers then detail some of the patch changes, starting with fixes for crashes due to memory allocation and rendering issues.
The GSC Game World also lists "gameplay adjustments and balancing", including fixes for NPC behavior and weapon prices. The team is also addressing a multitude of visual and cutscene issues, from missing facial animations to inconsistencies. Some soft lock fixes, improvements to the user interface, and "notes to be addressed in future updates" are also detailed, including resolutions for dead zones on analog sticks and A-Life system bugs.
If you are playing the game, it should only get better with each new update!
