Specter Divide, divided my opinion about the game!

Yesterday I started playing Spectre Divide, a new tactical shooting game like Counter Strike and Valorant. The game stands out for its unique mechanic of 2 bodies that you can use to advance within the scenario, repositioning the bodies and being able to create new strategies to invade the bomb. I want to talk a little about my initial impressions of the game!

The game showed promise in the first moments, especially because the map makes good use of the mechanic, with risky areas to move around and change the game as the match progresses.

The game gives you the option to choose your utilities from sponsors, which I found interesting, since each of them has a reason. I mostly used Ryker Industries, one of the abilities I received was an area scan that gave me a significant advantage, but still had difficulty advancing, which resulted in some pretty gruesome deaths.

The weapons in the game are very well modeled, only the characters are kind of strange, but they fit well with the game's cell shading design.

One point I wanted to raise is about the movement, which was the most annoying thing for me in the game. Using the knife or pistol, there is a sense of speed, but when I hold a main weapon in my hands, even an SMG, I end up feeling very stiff about the game, which makes me quite stressed at times, because the Time To Kill in the game is not so high, but the movement doesn't let you escape, which made me fall into a loop of deaths that could have been avoided along with the classic strafe from side to side.

The movement of the bodies was quite simple, but it was strange, sometimes I didn't quite understand what I was doing, but I quickly got the hang of it.

The weapons I had the most trouble with were the snipers, as they also seemed more stiff, and I say this not because of the movement itself, but because the game seems to punish you a lot for using them, with a certain slowness in the animations.

The bomb planting mode becomes much more interesting with the game's main mechanic, which is definitely a differential for the game, which can indeed become bigger if it knows how to launch new modes and vary the gameplay of the players, which is very necessary.

Developed by Mountaintop Studios, Spectre Divide is only available for PC, via Steam!
