Sony may announce the return of SOCOM soon

Do an exercise with me: Think for a brief moment about all the dormant franchises of Sony that you would like to see receive a new game. Well, I imagine you may have thought of Bloodborne, for example, but I doubt you thought of SOCOM.

But you better start getting familiar with that name, as it was recently announced that the studio People Can Fly is working with Sony on an existing Playstation franchise.

The Polish studio known for the underrated Outriders didn't go into details, simply mentioning that the project's codename is "Delta", a word often used for games that deal with war themes in their plots. Not only that, but research shows that yes, players would love to relive SOCOM, which had its last release in 2011 with the fourth game in the tactical shooter series.

Of course, everything regarding SOCOM should be taken as speculation, but by now you've learned that where there's smoke, there's fire.
