Snake, is that you? Death Stranding 2 trailer features a character identical to Konami's icon

As expected, director Hideo Kojima not only revealed the release date of the highly anticipated Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (June 26), but also unveiled an incredible trailer, showing more of the game world starring Sam Porter Bridges, played by actor Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead).

Among a series of new features and revelations presented (especially for those who played the first game), a certain character caught the attention of the entire gaming industry. We are talking about the mysterious Neil, played by Italian actor Luca Marinelli (The Old Guard).

It is impossible to watch the trailer and not make comparisons with the incomparable Snake, the legendary character from the Metal Gear franchise, created by Hideo Kojima, but which is part of the Konami production company.

It is worth noting that since 2020, Kojima had already envisioned the Italian actor playing Solid Snake, and indeed, by appearing with a bandana in the trailer, the comparison becomes inevitable.
