The Konami held a live stream today titled "Silent Hill Transmission", in which they revealed a new trailer for 'Silent Hill F', the first main title in the series in over a decade.

The trailer features a young woman living in a small Japanese town during the 1960s, a setting unprecedented in the series. As the fog envelops the town, the protagonist begins to witness strange phenomena, including mysteriously blooming flowers and creepy creatures. At one point, she encounters a staggering woman and a house covered in spores, suggesting an atmosphere of psychological horror.

'Silent Hill F' is being developed by NeoBards Entertainment, a studio based in Taiwan that has previously collaborated on titles such as the remakes of 'Resident Evil 2' and '3'. The story is written by Ryukishi07, a renowned Japanese writer known for his psychological horror visual novels, such as 'Higurashi When They Cry'. Character and creature design is by Japanese artist Kera, while production is overseen by Motoi Okamoto, former Nintendo producer.

During the stream, Konami highlighted the use of reference photos and sounds to create the rural setting of the game, as well as discussing the psychological themes they intend to explore through the young protagonist. While the trailer does not reveal a specific release date, it confirms that 'Silent Hill F' will be available for PlayStation 5, PC (Microsoft Windows), and Xbox Series X/S.

This announcement marks a significant moment for fans of the franchise, who have eagerly awaited news since the release of the 'Silent Hill 2' remake last year. Konami promises to share more information about 'Silent Hill F' soon.
