Series Lanterns gets a new trailer at San Diego Comic-Con

Blending the sobriety of a crime thriller with the grandeur of a galactic narrative is the kind of insight that could breathe new life into the franchise's productions. During the San Diego Comic-Con panel, HBO Max released an exclusive preview of Lanterns, a series set to debut on August 17 on the streaming platform. The storyline starts with an investigative case in the state of Nebraska and expands to the reaches of the DC Universe.

The material highlights the villain Sinestro imprisoned in space, alongside the appearance of the Manhunters and the return of actor Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner.

The central plot pairs the veteran Hal Jordan, portrayed by Kyle Chandler, with the newcomer John Stewart, played by Aaron Pierre, who undergoes intense training while the duo investigates mysterious occurrences.

In a statement about the creative approach, producer Peter Safran emphasized that the blend of the crime genre with science fiction aims to showcase different facets of the brand, targeting a diverse audience.
