Following the resounding success of Lords of The Fallen, CI Games is reportedly developing a sequel titled Death of The Fallen, with an expected release by 2026. The news was discovered by Kuraksis, a game researcher, in documents posted on X.

Lords of the Fallen garnered a considerable fan base upon its release, selling over a million copies in just 10 days. Targeted at Soulslike game enthusiasts, the title quickly hinted at the possibility of a sequel to sustain player interest.

CI Games' future projects include the sequel Lords of the Fallen: Death of the Fallen, along with Gate to Gehenna, an open-world survival experience, a new iteration of the Sniper Ghost Warrior series, and Project Scorpio, a tactical multiplayer FPS. However, the main focus is on Death of the Fallen, generating significant anticipation from the public.

While specific details about the game are still scarce, it is known to be developed by Hexworks, the same studio behind Lords of the Fallen. Utilizing Unreal Engine 5, the sequel aims to provide "more ambitious gameplay options for a broader appeal to the audience," as disclosed in the publication.

Although not officially confirmed, it is expected that the game will be available for PC and next-gen consoles.

Death of the Fallen is scheduled for release in 2026, giving eager fans two years to wait before diving into a new epic experience. Meanwhile, Hexworks continues to enhance and expand Lords of the Fallen, with substantial additions of free content, along with the possibility of paid DLCs in development.
