Resident Evil Requiem challenges logic with "The Final Enigma"

The Capcom decided to test the sanity of players with the release of Resident Evil Requiem. At the bottom of an endless list of challenges, a certain "The Final Enigma" emerged, which is making classic statue-pushing puzzles look like child's play. It's fun to see the community scratching their heads, but there's that trail of doubt: is the difficulty a merit of brilliant design or just an artificial way to extend the game's lifespan?

The clue in the game is one of those vague ones that screenwriters love: "Let the sweet couple hear the voice." To get somewhere, you need to find a specific severed hand and scan it in a blood machine to get an RNA code. It's the kind of bizarre thing we expect from Capcom, but the process of collecting code fragments in objects scattered around the map requires a level of patience that not every action fan will have. After deciphering the RNA, you still need to face a safe with Star, Sun, and Moon buttons.

"Let the sweet couple hear the voice."

The problem is that, after opening the safe, the trail simply disappears. No one knows what the final reward is, and the fear that all of this will result in just a bronze trophy or an irrelevant skin is very real. As the game is globally released, the race to be the first to solve this complex annoyance should stir up the forums, but the line between a rewarding challenge and an exercise in frustration is very thin in Requiem.

If Capcom wanted to create a buzz, it succeeded, but it remains to be seen if the payoff will be worth the herculean effort of hunting genetic codes amidst shootouts against mutants. For now, the trail has gone cold and players are walking in circles. It's a risky bet from the developer, as a challenge that is too difficult may end up being ignored by most, leaving only the most obsessed platinum hunters.

The result of this macabre scavenger hunt should appear in the coming days as more people get their hands on the title. What remains for us is to observe from afar this intellectual torture and hope that the solution is not a total anticlimax.

The burning question is whether this secret hides a true ending or if it's just another disposable extra.
