Rabbit's Tale brings fantasy and resilience to the Mundo Gamer Showcase 2025

The developer Golden Bug Studios, from Portugal, is confirmed at the Mundo Gamer Showcase 2025 with Rabbit's Tale, an immersive metroidvania that blends narrative excitement, precise action, and a world marked by the clash between nature and steam machines. During the event, the studio promises to present news about the project, including never-before-seen gameplay footage, details about the game's universe, and central elements of its hybrid mechanics.

In Rabbit’s Tale, we meet Rabbit, born and raised in the peaceful Carrot’s Village, a sunny village surrounded by forests where the inhabitants lived in harmony. But this tranquility is brutally interrupted by the rise of the Steam Order, an oppressive force that discovered the power of steam machines and began expanding its domain through conquest, intimidation, and ruthless minions. When the Steam Order arrives in the village, the warning is brief — and the destruction, total. By dawn, everything is in flames, families are separated, and Rabbit finds himself alone, carrying the weight of a mission greater than he.

The game features classic metroidvania gameplay, with side-scrolling progression, interconnected map, and a strong emphasis on exploration, combined with roguelike elements that add challenge, variety, and replayability. Combat requires skill and environmental awareness, while new combat techniques and abilities can be evolved throughout the journey to face waves of enemies and advance deeper into this world in ruins.
