Prime Gaming expands July offer with more games
Prime Gaming has significantly strengthened its lineup of free games for July, adding new titles that are already available to Amazon Prime subscribers. The continuous expansion of the library is a strategy by Amazon to add value to its subscription service, keeping users engaged and attracting new followers in a competitive market.
The inclusion of more games, including big names, highlights Prime Gaming's commitment to offering a diverse and attractive catalog for its members.
Prime Gaming has added four new heavyweight games to its July offer:
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II: A classic Star Wars FPS, available via GOG. This title, originally released in 1997, is known for its engaging story and the introduction of Kyle Katarn, one of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars Expanded Universe.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent: One of the most influential psychological horror games of the last decade, which popularized the survival horror genre without combat, available via the Epic Games Store. Released in 2010, it marked a generation of players with its oppressive atmosphere and focus on escape.
Marvel's Midnight Suns: A tactical RPG with Marvel superheroes, developed by Firaxis Games (from XCOM), available via the Epic Games Store. Released in December 2022, the game combines strategic combat with elements of social simulation.
Football Manager 2024: The latest football management simulator from Sports Interactive, available via the Epic Games Store until July 11. Released in November 2023, it is acclaimed for its depth and realism in club management.
These titles join an already announced robust list for July, with games available on different dates and platforms:

- Dungeon of the Endless: Definitive Edition (Amazon Games App)
- Saints Row 2
- Saints Row IV: Re-Elected

The variety of genres and the inclusion of acclaimed games, such as Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Marvel's Midnight Suns, demonstrate Prime Gaming's effort to offer something for everyone.
Prime Gaming is a component of the Amazon Prime service, which in Portugal costs €4.99 per month or €49.90 per year. In Brazil, the Amazon Prime subscription costs R$ 19.90 per month or R$ 166.80 per year. In addition to free games, subscribers also have access to other benefits, such as free shipping on Amazon, video streaming on Prime Video, music on Prime Music, and books on Prime Reading.
This multifaceted approach of Prime Gaming sets it apart from pure game subscription services, like Xbox Game Pass, which despite its alleged profitability, has faced challenges with layoffs and studio closures. The Prime Gaming model is seen as a way to retain customers in the Amazon ecosystem, using games as an additional incentive for a subscription that already offers a diverse range of services. The continuous addition of quality titles to the free games catalog strengthens the value proposition of Prime Gaming and encourages adoption of Amazon Prime.
