Pokémon Champions will receive Z Mega Evolutions in September

The Pokémon Company confirmed that Pokémon Champions will include Mega Z Evolutions starting September 9th, introducing a wave of new content to the free title.

The update was formally announced during the Pokémon World Championships 2026 panels, highlighting the introduction of variations such as Mega Absol Z and Mega Lucario Z, which share the focus of the updates with the additions of Rillaboom and Baxcalibur to the selection of available creatures.

Available for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android, the project has established itself as the official platform for Pokémon VGC circuit competitions, allowing duelists to train and participate in ranked matches anywhere.

At the same event, organizers confirmed that the Regulation M-C will serve as the rule guide for the competitive structure of the game's upcoming season.
