Pokemon and Aardman Animations: Stop Motion in Game
Who would have thought that a Pokéball made of clay would be enough to raise so many expectations? The Pokémon Company and the legendary British studio Aardman Animations, known for classics such as Chicken Run and Wallace & Gromit, announced a collaboration. What exactly will come out of this partnership is still a mystery, but the promise is something special for the fans.
The project, scheduled only for 2027, was presented as a "creative fusion" between the two brands. Despite the initial teaser showing only a clay Pokéball, the involvement of the studio that turned stop motion into art raises expectations.
Taito Okiura, VP of marketing and media at Pokémon, called the partnership "a gift for the fans." “The Aardman studios are masters in their art, and we are amazed by their talent and creativity,” he stated in the official announcement.
Sean Clarke, managing director of Aardman, returned the compliments: “It is a huge honor to work with The Pokémon Company. We feel privileged to bring their characters and worlds to life in a completely new way.”
Although details are scarce, the involvement of the British studio suggests something innovative, possibly with the humor and charm characteristic of Aardman. Until then, we can only speculate and wait for updates from one of the most valuable brands in the world.
Between speculations and anticipation, there is only one certainty: 2027 is still far away, but Pokémon fans already have one more reason to wait.
