Plot changes... Yasuke is no longer described as a Samurai
From the first trailer of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, Ubisoft has seen several controversies about the black character, which led the company to retract.
Along with the company's economic crisis, we see several changes happening with the game, which had already been delayed to February, and will now only arrive in March of this year.
With these delays, we imagine that Ubisoft was reworking not only the bugs that were seen in their trailers, but also some of the poorly placed constructions.
The new thing now is that Ubisoft seems to be even changing the characters' story, especially that of Yasuke, who will now no longer be called Samurai but Ikki Tousen, which means warrior, equivalent to thousands of warriors. This doesn't change the character's position much, but it's interesting that racist criticisms have changed the game's vision, as well as left-wing militant criticisms, which have made the same thing happen with other games from the developer, who seems to want to please everyone, but fails to please its fans, which is a shame.
The term “Ikki Tousen” used to describe a warrior of great power, without considering him a samurai. This term generated a lot of controversy, even being discussed by Japanese parties, which prompted an official response from the government, which preferred not to get involved in controversies.
The new description doesn't really make a difference, my only concern is how the story should be worked out, since we don't know how Yasuke lived, we have the possibility of seeing a creative story, if Ubisoft gives the necessary space.
And if we take a look at the storylines of the saga that take place in the present, we have a big mess that needs to be resolved. However, Ubisoft is wasting time on things that are somewhat nonsensical.
