The long-awaited mid-generation update of the PlayStation 5, known as PlayStation 5 Pro, has been the subject of speculation among gaming enthusiasts and technology experts. Recently, experts from the Digital Foundation analyzed the console's specifications and discussed how it could improve the gaming experience, especially in scenarios limited by the GPU.

With a GPU that is 45% faster than the base model of the PlayStation 5, it is believed that the PlayStation 5 Pro could address issues in games that aggressively use dynamic resolution scaling. Titles like Star Wars Jedi Survivor, Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Final Fantasy XVI, and Immortals of Aveum are mentioned as potential beneficiaries of the improvements.

Expectations are that the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution and Ultra Boost Mode will bring significant performance and visual quality improvements, especially in games that already use AMD FSR 2 and have explicit VRR modes.

Although there are no official details about the PlayStation 5 Pro yet, rumors suggest that the console could be released later this year. Stay tuned for more information about the system as news is announced.
