Parody of GTA 6 will arrive on Steam, even after being removed from the PS Store

Grand Taking Ages will arrive on Steam later this year, the parody of Grand Theft Auto 6 , made by AI, managed to convince Valve that this would be a good idea, even after being removed from the PlayStation store.

The game tries to ride the wave of GTA 6 , it previously even had the 6 in its name, but was recently renamed and already has a release date for PC via Steam , arriving in July 2025 .

In statements to IGN , the developer Violarte said that Grand Taking Ages would be a management simulator, where players try to run a game developer. (Presumably, you are not rewarded for being kicked out of a major console manufacturer's store.)

Adjustments were made to convince the owner of Steam , Valve Corporation , that Grand Taking Ages is really a legitimate project, with changes in the logo and in the presentation of the game "to clearly differentiate the game" from GTA 6 by Rockstar Games .

According to Violarte , their project was removed by Sony despite defending that it was clearly a parody. In fact, the developer suggested that the recent project Grand Theft Hamlet - a film in which a production of the classic play by Shakespeare is presented within GTA Online - proved just that.

"We really believe that, with the recent updates, Grand Taking Ages is now ready to be relisted on the PlayStation Store," concluded Violarte, saying that they had requested Sony to restore the game store page. "We strongly believe that there will be no problems with Sony this time, given the adjustments we have implemented."

The idea is interesting, but without care about the game description, it may end up causing consumers to buy thinking it's a game from Rockstar Games , something that can be considered an infringement in some countries like Brazil, which makes sense to the changes that Sony made, but if everything is in order, maybe the return of the game won't hurt, which would be very interesting to play …
