Paradox Interactive strengthens team with new Deputy CEO, Mattias Lilja
Paradox Interactive has announced the appointment of Mattias Lilja as its new Deputy CEO. The decision aims to strengthen the company's pipeline of future projects, after a record year in terms of revenue, but with persistent concerns about the quality of releases.
Lilja, who joined Paradox Interactive in 2009, has held several key positions within the company, including Executive Producer, Studio Head, and COO. His previous role as Team Leader has prepared him to take on new responsibilities, including HR, Talent Acquisition, and Communication.
Paradox Interactive CEO, Fredrik Wester, expressed confidence in Lilja's contribution, stating that his long-term focus is to consolidate the core business and ensure a robust pipeline of future projects.
Wester had previously acknowledged the need to maintain high quality standards, despite the company's financial success, and emphasized Lilja's importance in helping achieve this goal.
Paradox Interactive is scheduled to release three games this year, starting with Foundry, followed by Life by You in June, and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 later on, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in the gaming industry.
