Nvidia has unveiled its latest desktop GPU lineup, the GeForce RTX Super, marking an interim upgrade in the RTX 40 series. The models include the GeForce RTX 4080 Super, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super, and GeForce RTX 4070 Super, with prices starting at $599 in the United States and a scheduled release in January.
The release aims to deliver significant performance and energy efficiency improvements compared to previous versions in the RTX 40 series.
- GeForce RTX 4070 Super (January 17, $599): Offers 20% more cores compared to the standard RTX 4070. Nvidia claims that the GPU is faster than an RTX 3090 with a fraction of the power, especially with DLSS 3, which boosts performance by up to 1.5x.
- GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super (January 24, $799): Equipped with more cores than the RTX 4070 Ti, an enhanced 16 GB frame buffer, and a 256-bit memory bus, providing a significant increase in memory bandwidth to 672 GB/s. The card is stated to be 1.6x faster than an RTX 3070 Ti or 2.5x faster with DLSS 3.
- GeForce RTX 4080 Super (January 31, $999): Offers 1.4x more performance than the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti without DLSS frame generation, or double the speed with DLSS. It will replace the current RTX 4080, launched in late 2022 for $200 more.
The release aims to deliver significant performance and energy efficiency improvements compared to previous versions in the RTX 40 series.
