Nvidia Announces DLSS 4 for Three New Games
Nvidia has announced support for DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation for three new titles: Mortal Online 2, Brickadia, and Runescape: Dragonwilds. This integration of upscaling technology and frame generation aims to provide significant performance improvements and a smoother visual experience in these games, ranging from a hardcore MMORPG to a building game and a new installment in the Runescape franchise.
The addition of DLSS 4 to these games reflects Nvidia's continued expansion of technology, seeking to optimize performance across a variety of genres and studios.
Nvidia's DLSS 4 introduces Multi Frame Generation, an evolution of the Frame Generation technology that allows the creation of multiple additional frames through artificial intelligence, resulting in substantially higher frame rates. Additionally, DLSS 4 integrates DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing), which uses AI to enhance image quality without the need for upscaling, providing a sharper visual experience.
The games that will receive support for DLSS 4 are:
Mortal Online 2: This open-world MMORPG with full-loot PvP elements is known for its difficulty and harsh environment. Released on January 25, 2022 by Star Vault, the game will greatly benefit from DLSS 4, which can mitigate frame rate drops in densely populated areas or during intense combat, providing a smoother experience for its players.
Brickadia: A sandbox-style building game that allows players to create customized worlds and experiences. Developed by Brickadia, LLC, the title benefits from DLSS 4 by allowing more complex and detailed constructions without sacrificing performance. The increase in frames will allow players to explore their creations more smoothly.
Runescape: Dragonwilds: A new MMORPG in the Runescape franchise, developed by Jagex. The addition of DLSS 4 in a major release like Dragonwilds aims to ensure that the game can run at high frame rates even with more advanced graphics than previous titles in the series, providing a smooth entry for new players and a visual upgrade for long-time fans.
Nvidia has been proactive in integrating DLSS into various titles, with the technology already present in over 500 games and applications, including major releases and independent titles. This widespread adoption demonstrates the relevance of DLSS to the PC Gaming market, which is constantly seeking to optimize graphic performance.
