Neowiz Rewards Lies of P Team with Vacation and Switch 2

A Neowiz, developer of Lies of P, announced that it is rewarding its approximately 300 employees from the Round8 Studio with two extra weeks of paid vacation, an early bonus of 7,000 euros, and a Nintendo Switch 2 for each one. This initiative celebrates the sales success of Lies of P, which has surpassed the mark of 3 million units globally.

Neowiz's recognition follows a recent trend in the industry, with Shift Up also rewarding its employees with Nintendo Switch 2 consoles after Stellar Blade reached the same sales milestone.

Lies of P saw an increase in interest after the release of the Overture expansion in early June, approximately three months after the game left the Game Pass. This period revitalized sales and helped the title reach its 3 million units milestone.

Neowiz sees Lies of P as a "global success." Offering the Nintendo Switch 2 to Korean employees, in addition to being a gesture of appreciation, may indicate a strategic move. There are speculations that Neowiz may be exploring the possibility of porting Lies of P to Nintendo's hardware, and having the console in hand could be part of the research and development. This type of incentive, although benevolent, also serves as an indirect investment in future optimizations or new projects.
