Naughty Dog remains silent: Intergalactic will not be at TGA 2025
The highly anticipated project Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet from Naughty Dog will not be present at The Game Awards (TGA) 2025, according to credible sources in the industry. Fans of the Crash Bandicoot developer should prepare themselves for a "long wait", as there are no plans to share news about the title this end of the year.
Jason Schreier and Jeff Grubb, two of the most credible unofficial sources, advised players not to set expectations about the presentation of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet at TGA 2025. Grubb stated that the game will not be released even in 2026.
This position reinforces Schreier's previous comments made in March of this year, estimating the release of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet to be not before 2027, possibly extending to 2028. The silence from Naughty Dog suggests that the planning and schedule of the developer have not changed.
The game was initially revealed at The Game Awards in December 2024, and the expectations of a new glimpse at the anniversary ceremony will not come to fruition.
If Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet only arrives in 2027, Naughty Dog will go through the PS5 generation without releasing an original game, a scenario that would certainly surprise the fan community. The developer will continue to work on various other projects in secret.
