MultiVersus Major Update Adds New Character Stripe, Halloween Event, More

Gremlins baddie joins the fight.

Today sees the arrival of the latest big update to MultiVersus. The free-to-play fighter is still going strong, and developer Player First Games is ready to throw yet another playable character into the arena. Stripe, antagonist of the movie Gremlins, will be introduced with this new update.


The unhinged creature joins just in time for Halloween, and as it so happens, the game will be celebrating the holiday with a special event. As part of the update, players will be able to earn candy through normal play, earning more if you play as fighters sporting Halloween skins. You can then exchange the candy for special holiday-themed items, including a couple of character variants. The event will from from 15th October to 15th November.


As well as all that, the big patch will make further balancing tweaks to most characters. This includes more buffs to Arya Stark and Garnet, and some nerfs to Rick, Morty, Gizmo, and others. You can see the full rundown on the official patch notes.
