Moonray Studio reveals Mobile Autobattler with Web3 integration for 2025
Moonray Studio has just announced the release of its highly anticipated Autobattler game for mobile devices, scheduled for the first quarter of 2025. Following the success of the PC/console game available on the Epic Games Store, the mobile version promises to further expand the Moonray ecosystem, targeting a broader and more diverse audience.
The big idea here is the continuity of digital assets between versions. This means that the Autobattler will use the same resources as the original game, including the Token MNRY, which allows players to unlock exclusive content and earn rewards in competitive tournaments, generating even more demand for the ecosystem.
Set in a "post-human" dystopian future, Moonray offers immersive gameplay and intense battles that mix strategy and skill. Easy to play, but hard to master, the game appeals to both casual players and eSports professionals. One of the project's great differentiators is the subtle integration of blockchain technology, allowing ownership of assets, customization of NFTs, and rewards with tokens—elements that, for those not interested, can be completely ignored, keeping gameplay accessible to everyone.
The Moonray universe doesn't stop at games. The franchise also includes the graphic novel Mother's Skin, which explores the lore of the game and serves as inspiration for the artists involved in development. With distribution in 4,000 comic book stores, including Midtown Comics and Barnes and Noble, in both North America and the UK, the project goes even further: Moonray already has a partnership with Reel FX studio to turn the game and the comic into an animated series.
And it doesn't stop there. Moonray has already raised over US$ 8.25 million in investments from big names such as Animoca Brands, Polygon Ventures, and Cardano. Strategic partnerships with Digital Void, for game development, and with gaming guilds like YGG, Snack Club, and Unix are just some of the elements that show the project's continuous growth.
With over 100,000 members on the official Discord channel and 170,000 followers on X (formerly Twitter), the Moonray community is expanding. According to Hans Andersson, co-founder of the studio, "The Autobattler mobile game will allow us to drastically expand our user base and playtime, providing access to those who cannot play the PC/console version, as well as allowing them to play wherever they want."
The chairman of Animoca Brands, Yat Siu, also highlighted the importance of the news: "The addition of a mobile game to Moonray's immersive combat experience will expand the player base and attract new audiences. The smart integration of blockchain allows players familiar with crypto assets to enhance their experience, while traditional players can enjoy the game without any adoption barriers."
The Moonray Autobattler Mobile promises to be a significant step for the studio, offering both a new entry point for mobile gamers and expanding the already vast universe of Moonray.
