miHoYo announces global test for Honkai: Nexus Anima

The backdrop of the story introduces the concept of Nexus, a term that describes the invisible connections between so-called Associated Aspects — which includes opposing concepts like Love and Hate, Light and Darkness, or Reality and Illusion. Due to a cataclysm named the Sundering, these bonds were broken, leading to the fragmentation and scattering of these fragments across the map in the form of beings known as Anima. The player takes on the responsibility of exploring the setting to reestablish these ties, using the specific attributes of each captured creature to face other opponents in turn-based battles. This premise of capturing little creatures in an open-world scenario might seem like just another generic variation of concepts that the market has already saturated exhaustively, but the developer claims that the abundance of tactics and the size of the map will justify the time investment for enthusiasts.

Registrations are already open on the title's official page for those who want to try their luck with pre-registration. The beginning of activities is scheduled for July 9th, encompassing users on PC, iOS, and Android platforms. This marks the first major opportunity for the international audience to get their hands on this new strategic venture with creature-collection mechanics.

The well-known developer miHoYo, famous for the tremendous success of Genshin Impact, confirmed that the next phase of public testing for Honkai: Nexus Anima will take place in July.
