Recent information suggests that the upcoming Marvel's Blade game, developed by Arkane Lyon, will utilize the same game engine called Void Engine, which was employed in previous Arkane titles such as Deathloop, Dishonored 2, and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider.
The initial revelation was made by Faizan Shakih, a senior lighting artist at Arkane Lyon, who mentioned the connection between Blade and the Void Engine on his ArtStation resume. However, this reference was later removed.
The Void Engine is based on id Software's "id Tech 6" engine, and its use suggests that Marvel's Blade may inherit some visual and gameplay mechanics from Arkane's previous titles.
Marvel's Blade was officially unveiled during The Game Awards and promises to be a third-person action game with an M rating. Game director Dinga Bakaba stated that the goal was to create a distinctly Arkane title, presenting a unique take on a superhero.
