Live event, Pokémon Presents is expected to happen next month!
After a data leak from PokémonGO, we have the possibility of a new event from Nintendo coming, focused on Pókemon and we may have more news about Pokémon ZA!
References extracted from data for a Pokémon Presents 2025 event linked to the annual Pokémon Day franchise were detected today by the prolific code sniffers at The Pokemod Group.
The leak has a high chance of being real, as some of the live events have already taken place on Pokémon Day (February 27), or close to that date.
Like a Pokémon-focused version of a Nintendo Direct, at least one Pokémon Presents broadcast is held every year since 2015, and sometimes several times a year. They usually contain details about all upcoming Pokémon projects to be released in the coming months, including console and mobile games, as well as other franchise updates.
Of course, we haven't had any confirmation from Nintendo about a Pokémon Presents event, however, it would be a great way to showcase the new franchise games while also showing these same games running on the possible Nintendo Switch 2, which could be announced at any moment.
This may include a version for Switch 2 of the already announced game for Switch, Pokémon: Legends ZA (which was notably revealed last year without showing any real gameplay, as if a more beautiful version was also in development).
If this event happens, perhaps the Nintendo Switch 2 could be announced shortly before, or even within the event, as leaks and rumors about the console are growing rapidly, which should create pressure between Nintendo and the fans.
